City of Barrie #PictureBarrie Submissions

Upon submission, I agree that the City of Barrie may use the photo(s) that I have submitted under the following terms & conditions:

  1. I am the photographer and sole copyright owner of this photo or I have the owner's permission to submit photo
  2. I am 18 years of age.*
  3. I understand I am granting the City of Barrie the non-exclusive right to use my photos in any way that the City sees fit.
  4. I grant this authorization free of charge.
  5. I have obtained a signed Model/Property Release form** from applicable models &/or property owners. Note: this form is only necessary if the photo includes an identifiable person and/or recognizable property that is not accessible to the public.
  6. I acknowledge that the City of Barrie reserves the right to disallow any photos that do not comply with its Social Media Policy or for any other reason.
  7. I consent to indemnify the City of Barrie against any claim, demand, action, suit or other proceedings against the City of Barrie arising out of the use of the photograph or related to any false or inaccurate statement I make

*If you are younger than 18 & wish to submit a photo, you may have your parent/legal guardian submit the photo on your behalf; the parent/guardian should note the photographer's name, age & relationship within the photo description.

**Forms & photos can be submitted via e-mailed separately to socialmedia@barrie.ca. For photos submitted via hashtag #PictureBarrie, separate acceptance of these Terms & Conditions, & any related forms, may be necessary should photo be selected for publication.

Personal information on the submission form is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act, 2001 and motion 11-G-065 and will be used by the City of Barrie for notification purposes of use of selected photo(s) in future City of Barrie Marketing and Communications materials only.
